Popcorn Balls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1 c. light corn syrup
1 tsp. cider vinegar
3 Tbsp. margarine
1 tsp. vanilla
2 qt. popcorn
Preparation

Molasses may be used instead of syrup.
Cook sugar and vinegar in a heavy saucepan over moderate high heat.
Stir until sugar dissolves.
Then cook, uncovered, without stirring until a drop forms a hard ball when put into cold water.
Remove from heat and mix in butter and vanilla.
Pour over the popcorn and stir quickly until well mixed.
With buttered hands, shape into balls.
Cool on waxed paper.
Serves 24.
