Onion Rings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium Bermuda/mild white onions, sliced 1/4-inch thick
    1 slightly beaten egg
    3 Tbsp. cooking oil
    1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. flour
    cooking oil for deep-fat frying
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    Separate onions into rings.
    Once done, set aside.
    In a bowl, combine egg, milk, the 3 tablespoons oil, flour and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
    Beat just until well moistened.
    Using a fork, dip onion rings into batter; drain off excess batter.
    Add to deep hot fat (375\u00b0).
    Fry onion rings in a single layer, stirring once with a fork to separate rings.
    Once onions are golden brown, about 2 to 3 minutes, remove from fat and drain, using a paper towel.
    Sprinkle with salt and serve.
