Popcorn Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. light corn syrup
    1 c. water
    1 tsp. vinegar
    3 Tbsp. butter
    5 qt. popped corn
Preparation
    Combine sugar, salt, corn syrup, water, vinegar and butter. Cook to hard ball stage (250\u00b0).
    Pour hot syrup slowly over popcorn and mix carefully to coat each kernel.
    Shape mixture into balls.
    You can add walnuts, gumdrops, marshmallows or semi-sweet chocolate pieces.
    Greasing fingers makes handling easier.
    Makes 15 to 20 balls.
