Garlic Cheese Grits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. water
    1 clove garlic, pressed
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 c. quick-cooking grits
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 1/4 c. shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
    2 eggs, beaten
    1/2 c. milk
Preparation
    In large saucepan, bring water to a boil, adding the garlic, salt and pepper.
    Gradually stir in the grits.
    Lower the heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes.
    Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the butter and 1 cup Cheddar cheese until the butter melts.
    Mix the eggs with milk and stir thoroughly into the grits.
    Turn the grits into a greased 2-quart round casserole. Sprinkle with the remaining 1/4 cup cheese.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven 1 hour or until set and browned.
    Yields 4 to 6 servings.
