Banana Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 c. sifted cake flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 pinch salt
    2/3 c. Crisco shortening
    1 c. mashed bananas
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
    2 eggs plus 2 yolks (save whites for icing)
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening together. Sift flour, salt and baking powder three times. Add bananas and vanilla to creamed mixture. Add flour with part of the buttermilk. Stir soda into remaining buttermilk. Then VERY QUICKLY, add to the mixture. Beat 2 eggs and 2 yolks. Add to the mixture. Beat mixture well. Pour into two 8-inch round cake pans. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
