All American Lemonade - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. water
    1 c. sugar
    1 1/3 c. fresh lemon juice
    1 Tbsp. lemon zest, grated fine
    lemon slices and fresh mint (for garnish)
Preparation
    Combine water and sugar in small saucepan over medium heat and bring to boil.
    Reduce heat and simmer 5 to 6 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Remove from heat and cool syrup completely.
    Combine syrup with lemon juice and zest.
    Add 8 cups water.
    Garnish and serve over ice.
    Makes about 2 1/2 quarts lemonade.
