Polenta For Microwave - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 qt. water
    3/4 c. corn meal
    2 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. butter
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/4 c. water
    3/4 c. granulated sugar
Preparation
    In a small saucepan over low heat, mix together water and sugar.
    Boil over low heat until mixture is clear.
    Stir to dissolve sugar occasionally.
    Remove from heat and cool slightly. Dip the crocheted doily in warm water, then roll it in a bath towel to absorb as much water as possible.
    Next, dip the doily in the sugar-starch solution, saturating it completely.
    Remove doily and stretch it to the desired shape on a towel or covered piece of cardboard.
    Can use pins to hold to shape with the cardboard.
    Let dry.
    If doily has ruffles, stand small glasses between ruffles as they dry.
