Barbecued Buns - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. butter
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1/2 c. minced onion
    1/2 c. finely diced green pepper or celery
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
    1 tsp. prepared mustard
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1 (14 oz.) bottle catsup
    water
    18 hamburger buns
Preparation
    Melt butter in skillet; add meat and onion.
    Cook until lightly browned.
    Mix green pepper, seasonings, mustard, vinegar, brown sugar and catsup.
    Bring to a boil.
    Cover tightly.
    Switch to a simmer position for several hours.
    Add a little water if mixture gets too thick.
    Stir occasionally.
    Serve on warm, buttered buns.
    Makes 18.
