Pecan Thins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 sticks butter, softened
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. white sugar
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 egg
    1 c. chopped pecans
    3 c. sifted flour
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Place all ingredients except eggs in bowl.
    Mix for 3 to 5 minutes by hand.
    When ingredients begin to make a mass, add egg and mix to smooth dough.
    Divide into 2 pieces and shape into 2 rolls that are 1 1/2 inches in diameter.
    Roll in wax paper and chill overnight.
    Slice 1/8-inch thin and place on lightly greased pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 12 minutes.
    Cookies become crispy when cooling.
