Cottage Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. hot water
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    3 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 c. milk
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla
    flour (to stiffen)
Preparation
    In saucepan, bring to boil the hot water, 1 cup brown sugar and 1 tablespoon butter.
    Boil 3 minutes.
    Place in bottom of 8 x 8 baking dish.
