Pumpkin Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. shortening
    2 2/3 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    1 can pumpkin
    1 c. water
    3 1/3 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    2/3 c. chopped nuts
    2/3 c. raisins or dates
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add eggs, pumpkin and water.
    Sift together flour, baking powder, soda, salt and spices.
    Add to pumpkin mixture; stir in nuts, raisins or dates.
    Pour into greased (do not flour) loaf pans.
    Coffee cans may be used also.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Cool in pans 10 minutes.
