Dutch Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 small apples, cored and peeled
    1 Tbsp. white vinegar or lemon juice
    2 c. sifted unbleached all-purpose flour
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. milk
    2 eggs or 1/2 c. prepared egg substitute
    1/2 c. vegetable oil
    1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
    1/4 tsp. almond extract
    1/2 c. blackberry preserves
    cinnamon sugar
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Generously butter a 10-inch cast iron skillet.
