Mexican Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 c. cornmeal
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 eggs, well beaten
    1 c. milk
    1 (8 3/4 oz.) can cream-style corn
    1/3 c. vegetable oil
    1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1 small onion, chopped
    chopped jalapeno pepper to taste
Preparation
    Brown beef; drain fat.
    Combine next 7 ingredients.
    Heat a large iron skillet and pour half the mixture into it.
    Layer beef, cheese, onions and peppers over mixture.
    Pour the remaining mixture on top.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 minutes.
    Yields 4 to 6 servings.
