Jeanne'S Mexican Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. corn meal
    2 1/3 c. buttermilk or 2/3 c. milk and 1 1/2 tsp. vinegar
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 can creamed corn
    1/3 c. oil
    2 eggs
    1/2 tsp. soda
    onion tops
    jalapeno peppers
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 chopped bell pepper
    1 lb. Cheddar cheese, shredded
Preparation
    Mix first 8 ingredients together.
    Brown ground beef with onion, bell pepper and seasoning; drain.
    Put half of cornbread mixture in pan.
    Layer meat on top.
    Layer cheese and jalapeno peppers and the remaining cornbread mixture.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
