Boston Brown Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 c. corn meal
    2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. chopped dates or raisins
    1/2 c. nut meats
    3/4 c. molasses
    2 c. sour milk
Preparation
    Sift together first 4 ingredients; add remaining ingredients. Mix well.
    Fill greased pound size molds or baking powder can 2/3 full.
    Cover tightly and steam 1 1/2 hours.
    Makes two 1 pound loaves.
