Gingersnaps - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. ginger
3/4 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. molasses
Preparation

Turn oven to 375\u00b0.
Sift and measure 2 cups of flour.
Sift together the flour, salt, soda, cinnamon, ginger and ground cloves.
Measure shortening; place in another bowl and beat.
Add 1 cup sugar to shortening and beat until fluffy.
Add egg and molasses and beat.
Add sifted flour mixture and mix together. Make balls of dough and roll in some sugar.
Bake for 15 minutes.
