Pecan Sticks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter, softened
    1 egg
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. all-purpose flour (plain)
    1/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Cream together butter, egg, brown sugar and vanilla.
    Add flour and baking powder and then pecans.
    Using an 8 x 8 pan that has been greased and lined on the bottom with wax paper, bake in a preheated 350\u00b0 oven until light brown and pulled away from the sides of the pan.
    Cut into sticks.
