Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 tsp. vinegar
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cocoa
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 oz. red food coloring
    2 1/4 c. flour
    1 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Mix vinegar and baking soda and let settle.
    Set aside. Combine
    remaining
    ingredients
    then add vinegar, baking soda mixture.
    Bake in
    2
    (9-inch)
    pans at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
