Fiesta Punch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    4 c. water
    1/2 c. lemon juice (use frozen lemonade, undiluted)
    1 qt. bottled cranberry juice
    1 c. pineapple juice, canned
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 qt. cold Dr. Pepper
Preparation
    Mix
    sugar
    with
    2
    cups of the water.
    Bring to boil; cool. Combine
    this
    syrup
    with
    the remaining 2 cups water, lemon juice,
    cranberry
    juice, pineapple juice and the salt. Freeze. When
    ready
    to
    use,
    put in punch bowl and pour Dr. Pepper over it.
    Break up into a slush or instead of freezing, keep concentrate
    in
    refrigerator until time to serve.
    When ready
    to serve,
    pour
    over
    ice
    and add Dr. Pepper.
    Makes approximately 3 1/2 quarts or 25 to 30 servings.
