French Onion Beef Au Jus - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lb. beef roast (tip or rolled rump)
    5 c. water
    1/2 c. soy sauce
    1 pkg. dry onion mix
    1 clove garlic, minced
    2 large onions, sliced
Preparation
    Combine in slow cooker and cook 10 hours (or in Dutch oven in 325\u00b0 oven for 3 hours).
    Let set for 20 minutes, then thinly slice.
    Make sandwiches on buttered French or hard rolls.
    Top with Swiss cheese, if desired.
    Serve with bowls of broth for dipping.
