1925 Great Grandma Oven Barbecue - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. boneless beef chuck
    3 lb. pork loin, shredded (cut off fat)
    1 large onion or 2 small, chopped
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 (14 oz.) bottle ketchup
    2 Tbsp. fresh mustard
    3 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 Tbsp. pickling spice
    1 c. water or more
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1 tsp. cornstarch
    hamburger buns
    sweet relish
Preparation
    In covered roasting pan, place meat.
    Add onions, chopped. Bake for 1 hour.
    Mix rest of ingredients.
    Tie pickling spice into a square cheesecloth material.
    Tie and make a small ball.
    Pour all over meat, add water (cover).
    Bake 4 hours until cooked meat falls apart in 350\u00b0 oven (if dry, add more water).
    Thicken with flour and water mixed into a paste.
    Remove small pickling bag. Shred meat.
    Serve on hamburger buns with sweet relish.
