Creamed Chipped Beef - cooking recipe

1 (5 oz.) jar dried beef, chopped
2 Tbsp. margarine, melted
4 1/2 c. milk, divided
1/2 c. plain flour
1 tsp. beef-flavored bouillon granules
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation

Saute beef in butter in a large skillet 1 to 2 minutes.
Stir in 3 1/2 cups milk, simmering 2 minutes and stirring often. Combine flour and bouillon granules in a small bowl.
Gradually stir in remaining milk.
Gradually stir flour mixture into beef mixture.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened and bubbly.
Stir in salt and pepper.
Serve over toast or in commercial frozen puff pastry shells (baked).
