White Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 Tbsp. sugar
    4 tsp. salt
    4 c. warm milk
    4 Tbsp. soft shortening
    2 pkg. dry yeast
    1/2 c. warm water
    12 c. flour
Preparation
    Soak yeast in 1/2 cup warm water.
    Let stand 5 minutes.
    Put sugar and salt in pan, then add warm milk and soft shortening. Then add yeast and stir.
    Add 6 cups flour and mix well, then add remaining flour.
    Knead 6 or 7 minutes by hand.
    Let rise.
    Work down.
    Let rise again.
