Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    soup bones
    2 lb. stewing beef
    water to cover bones
    16 oz. can stewed tomatoes
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 pkg. pot herbs
    1 lb. mixed vegetables
    1/2 c. shredded cabbage (optional)
    2 beef bouillon cubes
Preparation
    In large soup pot place bouillon cubes, bones, meat and pot herbs; cover with water.
    Simmer for 1 hour.
    Add to pot stewed tomatoes and tomato sauce.
    Simmer 1/2 hour.
    Remove pot herbs, meat and bones.
    Add veggies; simmer 1/2 hour more. Serves approximately 6.
    Serve hot.
    Tastes better next day.
