Casserole Of Okra And Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. ham with fat
    1/2 c. brown rice
    2 c. canned okra, drained
    2 c. canned tomatoes
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 green pepper, chopped
    2 stalks celery, chopped
    garlic salt to taste
    black pepper to taste
Preparation
    Render pieces of ham fat with ham.
    Start rice cooking.
    In ham drippings, fry onions, green peppers and celery.
    When rice is fluffy, add okra, rice, tomatoes, garlic salt and pepper to ham mixture.
    Put into casserole and bake 30 minutes in slow oven at 250\u00b0.
    Makes 6 servings.
