Blonde Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. nuts (optional)
    1/3 c. butter
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 pkg. (small) chocolate chips
Preparation
    Melt butter in medium sized saucepan; remove from heat and stir in brown sugar.
    Cool; add egg and vanilla; beat by hand. Add sifted (or stirred) dry ingredients all at once and stir in by hand, until well mixed.
    Spread in lightly greased 8 x 8-inch pan and bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes; do not overbake.
    Cool and cut in desired size.
