Pineapple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (No. 303) can crushed pineapple
    1/2 can water
    pinch of salt
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 to 3 Tbsp. lemon juice
    3 envelopes plain gelatin
    1 1/2 c. cold water
    3/4 to 1 c. real mayonnaise
    1 pt. cottage cheese
Preparation
    Heat pineapple and water in pan.
    Add sugar and lemon juice. Soak gelatin in cold water.
    Combine heated pineapple mix with gelatin mixture.
    Set in refrigerator until jelled.
    Beat in mayonnaise and cottage cheese.
    Pour into mold and set in refrigerator.
    Serves 12 to 16.
    I leave out the sugar and lemon for diabetics.
