Oatmeal Cake And Topping - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. 3-minute oatmeal
1 1/2 c. boiling water
1/2 c. butter, shortening or oil
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 1/3 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg (optional)
Preparation

Pour boiling water over oatmeal; set aside.
Cream shortening and sugars until fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well. Add oatmeal-water mixture.
Sift dry ingredients together and add, beating well.
Bake in well-greased and floured 13 x 9-inch pan at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
