Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    3 eggs
    1 tsp. soda
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation
    Cream butter; add sugar gradually until fluffy.
    Add eggs, one at a time.
    Stir in vanilla.
    Sift dry ingredients into mixture. Chill 3 to 4 hours or longer.
    On well floured surface, roll to 1/8 or 1/4-inch.
    Cut into shapes.
    Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 375\u00b0 for 6 to 8 minutes.
    Frost or decorate as desired.
