Easter Egg Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 boxes powdered sugar
    1/2 lb. butter or oleo
    few drops food coloring
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1 can shredded coconut
    1 small bottle maraschino cherries, diced
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients in large bowl and then shape into Easter \"eggs.\"
    Chill overnight in refrigerator.
    Melt 2 packages of chocolate morsels over hot, not boiling water.
    Cover half of eggs by spreading warm chocolate on with a knife.
    Let harden and cool well, then cover the other side the same way.
    You may then decorate with colored trim or flowers.
