Black Walnut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    2 c. white sugar
    4 eggs, separated
    3 c. sifted cake flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. black walnuts
Preparation
    Beat egg yolks, then add dry ingredients.
    Add milk and vanilla, then add nuts.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for approximately 30 to 35 minutes or until done.
