Lentil-Ham Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. meaty ham bone
    1 lb. dry lentils (2 1/3 c.)
    1 1/2 c. chopped carrots
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 c. chopped celery
    1/4 c. snipped parsley
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/4 tsp. marjoram
    1 bay leaf, crushed
    7 c. water
Preparation
    Put lentils in crock-pot.
    Add carrots, onion, celery and parsley.
    Stir in salt, marjoram, pepper and bay leaf.
    Place ham bone on top.
    Add water; cover and cook on low heat for 9 hours. Lift ham bone from soup; remove meat from bone and chop.
    Return meat to soup.
    Makes 10 servings.
