Oatmeal Crispies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. softened margarine
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. granulated sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    3 c. quick oatmeal
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Cream margarine, brown sugar (no lumps) and granulated sugar. Add beaten eggs and vanilla.
    Beat well.
    Add flour, salt and baking soda.
    Mix well.
    Stir in oatmeal and nuts.
    Dough will become very thick.
    Form into rolls (about 2 to 2 1/2-inches in diameter).
    Chill well.
    Cut 1/4-inch thick and bake for 10 minutes at 350\u00b0 on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Cookies should be a little soft when removed from oven.
    They will become crispier as they cool.
    Makes about 5 1/2 dozen cookies.
