Italian Style Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. water
    1 c. long grain rice
    1/2 tsp. salt
    butter or margarine
    grated Parmesan or Romano cheese
Preparation
    In a medium saucepan, combine water, rice and salt.
    Bring to boiling; reduce heat.
    Cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
    Remove from heat.
    Let stand, covered, for 10 minutes.
    Serve immediately with butter or margarine.
    Sprinkle with cheese.
    Makes 6 servings.
