Refrigerator Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 1/2 c. sliced cucumbers
1/2 c. sliced onion
1/2 c. sliced green peppers
1/2 c. white vinegar
1 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. celery seed
1 tsp. mustard seed
Preparation

In a large glass or crockery bowl, alternately layer the sliced cucumbers, onion and green pepper. Mix the vinegar, sugar, salt, celery seed and mustard seed until the sugar dissolves. Pour over the layered vegetables. Cover and refrigerate. Chill several hours before serving. Store up to 6 weeks in the refrigerator in a glass jar.
