Peanut Blossoms - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 3/4 c. flour, sifted
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 egg
2 Tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 pkg. candy kisses

Preparation

Sift together flour, soda and salt; cream together shortening, peanut butter, sugar and brown sugar.
Add to creamed ingredients egg, milk and vanilla.
Blend in flour mixture.
Mix thoroughly. Shape by teaspoonfuls into balls.
Roll in sugar and place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 minutes.
Remove from oven and place a solid candy kiss on top of each cookie, pressing down so that cookie cracks around the edge.
Return to oven for 2 minutes.
