Summer Apple Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. pared, sliced tart apples
    1 c. white or brown sugar or 1/2 and 1/2
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 c. butter
    1 egg, well beaten
    1/2 c. flour
    few grains salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Place apples in a shallow 7 x 11-inch baking dish.
    Sprinkle half the sugar and cinnamon over the apples.
    Cream butter and rest of sugar until light.
    Add egg and beat well.
    Stir in sifted dry ingredients.
    Drop spoonfuls of dough over apples and spread with spatula.
    Bake 30 minutes at 375\u00b0.
    Serve with cream or ice cream.
