Cherry Swim - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. good ripe cherries
    4 c. sugar
    1 3/4 gal. any kind whiskey or bourbon
Preparation
    Pick good ripe cherries.
    Clean and crush seeds and all.
    Mix in this sugar.
    Put into a large jar.
    Add whiskey or bourbon. Seal and set aside.
    Shake every day once for 4 weeks.
    When cherries sink, it's ready to use or let set for a month.
    Strain liquid into bottle.
    Gets better with age.
