Friendship Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pt. starter
    16 oz. can sliced peaches and its juices
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    20 oz. can chunk pineapple and its juices
    2 c. sugar
    2 small jars maraschino cherries
    1 can fruit cocktail and juice
    2 c. sugar
    3 boxes Duncan Hines yellow cake mix
    3 boxes vanilla instant pudding
    12 eggs
    2 c. Wesson oil
    3 c. raisins
    3 c. walnuts
    3 c. pecans
    3 c. coconut (optional)
Preparation
    Day 1:
    Pour one pint starter into glass gallon jar or ceramic crock.
    Add sliced peaches and its juices.
    Cut slice into four pieces.
    Add 2 1/2 cups sugar.
    Stir once every day for 10 days. Cover juice with plate or saucer.
    Leave the mixture sitting out at room temperature.
