Jalapeno Corn Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. cornmeal
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1 small onion, chopped
2 eggs
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. creamed corn
1/4 c. bacon drippings
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 whole jalapeno pepper, chopped
1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease a 10-inch skillet or baking pan. Mix cornmeal, soda, salt, onion, garlic, corn, eggs, oil and buttermilk.
Beat well.
Spread 1/2 of the mixture in prepared pan.
Spread with the peppers and cheese.
Cover with remaining batter.
Bake until golden brown.
