Granny'S Strawberry Sherbet - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 cup sugar
    1 cup water
    1 pkg. strawberry jello
    2 cups water
    1 cup pineapple juice
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
Preparation
    Combine sugar and 1 cup water; boil 2 minutes.
    Remove from heat and dissolve gelatin in hot syrup.
    Add 2 cups water and fruit juices.
    Turn into freezing tray.
    When partially frozen, turn into cold bowl and beat with a rotary egg beater until blended and fluffy.
    Return to tray and continue freezing, stirring every 30 minutes until mixture holds its shape.
    Then freeze until firm.
    Freezing time: 5-6 hours.
    Makes about 1 qt.
