Million Dollar Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. small to medium cucumbers (not seedy)
    1 c. salt
    1 large Tbsp. alum
    1 oz. celery seed
    1 oz. cinnamon bark
    1 oz. whole allspice
    1 qt. vinegar
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. sugar or 1/2 c. brown sugar
Preparation
    Leave the cucumbers whole. Cover with cold water and salt and let stand 7 days, covered.
