Sopapias - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. or 1 tsp. yeast
    1/4 c. warm water
    4 c. self-rising flour
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    1 1/2 c. scalded milk
    oil
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup warm water. Mix remaining ingredients and pour in yeast mixture, then work dough. Roll out dough and cut into 1 to 2-inch squares. Fry in pan filled with 1/2-inch oil or in the Fry Daddy until golden brown. Top with powdered sugar and honey.
