Orange Sherbet Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 pkg. (3 oz.) orange jello
    2 1/2 c. boiling water
    3 cans mandarin oranges
    1 pt. orange sherbet
    3 bananas
Preparation
    Dissolve jello in boiling water.
    Drain oranges, reserving and measuring liquid.
    Add 1 1/2 cups of drained orange liquid to the jello.
    Stir in the sherbet until dissolved and refrigerate until partially set.
    Peel and slice bananas and add to the thickened jello along with oranges.
    Pour into 6-cup mold or square dish and chill until set.
    Serves 6.
