Date Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 sticks butter
    16 oz. chopped dates
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 c. chopped pecans
    2 tsp. vanilla
    4 c. Rice Krispies
    powdered sugar
Preparation
    Cook butter, sugar and dates over low heat until thick. Remove from heat.\tAdd
    nuts
    and\tvanilla
    and return to heat until alcohol evaporates from vanilla (about 30 seconds).
    Add Rice Krispies and
    stir,
    then
    cool.
    Make
    into
    balls
    and lightly roll
    in
    powdered sugar.
    Store in covered, air-tight container.
