Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. Crisco
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 oz. red food coloring
    2 1/4 c. plain flour
    3 eggs
    2 Tbsp. cocoa
    1 c. buttermilk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream sugar and Crisco.
    Add eggs, 1 at a time; mix well.
    Mix flour, salt and cocoa.
    In a separate bowl, mix milk, vanilla and food coloring.
    Add these alternately to mixture.
    Put vinegar and soda in a cup; mix well.
    Add immediately to mixture and fold in. Makes three 8-inch layers.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until done.
