Homemade French Dressing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. sugar
    1/3 c. oil
    1 medium-size onion
    1/3 c. catsup
    1/3 c. vinegar
    2 cloves garlic
Preparation
    Place sugar, oil, catsup and vinegar in a quart jar.
    Shake until all blended well.
    Peel and grate a medium-size onion and place in the jar.
    Peel two pieces of garlic and place in jar to marinate.
    Dressing must set 24 hours before using.
    Keep refrigerated.
