Taco Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 small onion, minced
    1 garlic clove, minced
    1/2 small head lettuce, thinly sliced
    1 (7 1/2 oz.) bag tortilla chips
    4 oz. sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
    1 medium tomato, diced
    1/4 c. sour cream
    1 tsp. chili powder
    1 (15 oz.) can red kidney beans, drained
    1 (8 oz.) jar mild taco sauce
    1 (4 oz.) can green chilies, chopped and drained
Preparation
    Cook beef, onion and garlic until all pan juice evaporates and meat is browned.
    Stir in chili powder.
    Cook 1 minute.
    Add beans, taco sauce and green chilies.
    Place half of lettuce in center of large platter, then meat mixture on top of lettuce. Arrange tortilla chips around meat mixture, then cheese, tomato and remaining lettuce in separate piles on chips.
    Top meat mixture with sour cream.
