Oyster Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 Tbsp. butter
    3 large leeks, trimmed and chopped (only small amount of green)
    4 potatoes, peeled and cut into 2-inch cubes
    6 c. water
    salt and pepper
    1 c. heavy cream
    1 qt. shucked oysters (liquid reserved)
Preparation
    Melt butter and saute leeks over medium heat, about 5 minutes. Add potatoes, water, salt and pepper.
    Simmer 20 minutes.
    Puree the mixture in a food processor.
    Return to saucepan and bring to a boil.
    Add cream, oysters and reserved liquid.
    Cook several minutes.
