Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 tsp. almond extract
4 eggs
3 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. buttermilk
6 ripe bananas
2 c. pecans, chopped
Preparation

Cream first 4 ingredients.
Beat, adding eggs one at a time. Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with buttermilk.
Add bananas.
Beat until all are combined.
Stir in pecans.
Bake in 3 bread loaf pans (greased and floured) for one hour and thirty minutes at 325\u00b0.
